fenix_jn, As far as I have seen, if you run the software program they provide you on the disc, then you would have been notified. At least that is what has occurred for us in the past.
Now as far as their service I can not say enough about it. Simply perfect aside from the price which could be lower, the service is unmatched as I have tried cable and satellite, both of which left something to be desired, yes cable is faster "Sometimes" but as you have heard and even the cable company says it is a fact, when the peak hours come and everyone is on-line it slows very measurably. DSL does not have this weakness each connection is separate from the other, thus degradation in speed.
As most have said it is almost never off-line, and even when it is down for service I have never gone more then a couple hours without service. So yes I recommend it over anything other then fiber optic direct to the house, but sadly I do not see that happening any time soon in this neck of the woods.
