It seems to be sluggish on some web pages here in upstate SC. Pages load and then seem to hang up on the ad servers that are embedded in the pages. Must be a router problem somewhere along the line. Not a run of the mill DNS issue (common to bellsouth/att). I use openDNs.

I'm having problems again tonight 11/25. This is about the 5th day in the past week. I wonder if it has anything to do with the U-Verse deployment?

Yep, it's bogged down in Upstate SC too. I'm getting about 1.5 mbps on 6.0 mbps service. I hope this is temporary.

Same here in Northwest NC. 1.5 Mbps on a 3Mbps line. Just started a few hours ago with me. I noticed it because Hulu started stuttering.

I am down from 6.2 and up to 1.5 - 2mbps.

I am on the phone with support now. of course they have NO idea what is going on. I will post back when I finish the call.

girl I spoke with says they are getting slammed with calls and she will call me back with an answer soon. Said something about it taking 30 mins tonight to get in touch with a 'line speicalist' due to high call volumes...

Same issue here - been on hold for 30 mins waiting for the engineering dept. I bet the high level of calls is due to the problem we're having. In the meantime my speed has slipped down to 400Kbps >.

At least they must be aware of the issue by now!

well good luck. the people I got were offshore and had NO clue at all... And could barely speak English.

I am getting fed up!

Asheville, NC is hosed too. My 6 Mbit is down to about 1.5.

My 6meg DSL line is lucky to pull down 700k this evening. Anyone else having trouble in upstate SC tonight? They're sending a tech out Friday so it would help to know if others are having problems.

I am in Charlotte and having same issues. The problem doesn't appear to be at the users level, I think it is something in their infrastructure.

Too many people on this board have reported issues.

Same type of slowdown here in Huntsville, AL as well...so it might not be isolated just to NC.

Yeah, mine appears to be back to normal as well. I'll wait until tomorrow to cancel the tech visit just in case.

But this is becoming an almost daily occurance. I wish they'd fix whatever it is.

I have 3.0 but I'm only getting 755kbps using both AT&T's and Broadbandreports' speedtests. I'm getting full upload speedthough.

Edit:Well that's weird. I checked my modem logs and it said DS 896 US 512. I reset the modem and all is well again.

I went to bed, but it's back to normal today. I find it very irritating that the tech support people have NO IDEA what is going on.

I must be the "lucky one". Other than the network wide problem of the other Friday night,my 3.0 Xtreme has been consistently on the "3.0" mark, closer to 3.2 and up speed of 326 tested at Speedtest.net.
