Holy crap its HOT!! today... I feel like im in Death Valley and I live by the WATER where it's always nice and cool!

I can only imagine what kind of death trap it is in Pleasanton right now.. I feel for you guys..

A tropical depression that broke up is pouring humidity into California. And it is August.

Yeah, it's been pretty sweltering, even up here in the hills where we usually get temps 5-7deg cooler than on the flatter parts of the city.

You have A/C in San Jose, at least... right? Luckily I have a lower level (sort of like a basement, but feeds into the back yard) room and it's the coolest room in the house right now.

I don't at home. It's a 1914 house sans any kind of insulation at all, and very expensive to insulate or cool.

My wife will not be happy when I get home...

It got to 103 degrees today vs prediction of 97. Hope this breaks soon.

103? that's it? It was 108 a couple of days ago. When the A/C stops working you know its hot.

You think it is hot I am in Central Ca. I was wondering if an changes in UV levels might make it feel hotter on the skin because this heat feels worse that heat we had in July.

I am temporarily in Pittsburgh, CA (upper East Bay Delta area) and I am normally from the San Diego, CA area (so cal) most recently have moved to Chula Vista, CA (going towards Tijuana, BC).

The weather here in the No. Cal area has been very hot . . .like our Heat Waves down south:

Night is very nice (cool) here in Pittsburgh. My daughter lives in a 5 bedroom, two story house in a "community" of about 26 houses. The owners association hired a 24/7 around the clock patrol service anyways. This is "Pittsburgh" not West Pittsburgh. We are next door to Antioch.

But thanks for the heads up. I have seen enough ~~violence~~ for three lives already, just in San Diego (CA).
