Re: [TWC] How Much Do You Pay For Your Services?

Road Runner Turbo: 54.90
Wireless: 4.95
Taxes and other BS:
Total: 61.94

I will not subscribe to their cable service, just to save $2 a month on my total bill. So much for their wonderful bundles.

Re: [TWC] How Much Do You Pay For Your Services?

Well, after my bill settles down from my last 'negotiation' with El Paso TWC it should be:

RR $25
Phone $20
Basic tier $12
Taxes, fees $7
Total $64 per month.

That is for 7mpbs/512kbps, statewide calls, and basic TV ch 2-15 service. For some reason they have not installed the filter in my line which blocks off channels above 15 so I actually get up to ch. 100+. Since I really don't watch much TV it doesn't matter to me. I'd seriously consider dropping the phone portion if cellular reception wasn't so bad at my house.

No other options for me at this time but TWC for broadband. ATT U-verse is stalled at 2 blocks from my house, can't even get DSL here. Something about the 'bad' 20 year old wiring in our street they said.

Re: [TWC] How Much Do You Pay For Your Services?

40.95 total including all taxes and fees for Earthlink Cable. Includes $1 a month off for paperless billing.

10Mbps/512k

Had promotional pricing for 12 months previously. This is NYC market.

Can I do better on price? Roadrunner is more expensive than Earthlink Cable and I already used up my promotion rate with Earthlink Cable.

$111.12 for Basic/standard cable and RoadRunner.

Your price seems high. Are bundles offered in your market?

In Dallas: Surf N ViewBundle includes Digital Cable with over 200 channels and Road Runner Standard High Speed Online (up to 7 Mbps) for $86.99 + tax & fees.

Re: [TWC] How Much Do You Pay For Your Services?

As of yesterday I was paying: ROAD RUNNER SPECIAL: $26.95 for 7/512.
Upgraded to Turbo for 5 a month, they said it was a 1 year promo, which is 10/1.
I downgraded for a while, glad I did, was paying way too much.

Re: [TWC] How Much Do You Pay For Your Services?

Expanded TV and RR turbo $55.66 per month no contract.

Also who in their right mind pays for a router of $4.95 per month! WTF! in 8 months you paid for a brand new one out of the store instead of a USED one from TWC.

Re: [TWC] How Much Do You Pay For Your Services?

This is what I get

RoadRunner Standard 10/1
Mega Charged Cable package (Digital cable w/4 Digital packs, All premiums except Disney VOD and Porn, no Latino Pack, and finally HD VIP)
2 HD-DVR's
2 HD-Boxes

All for around $160.00 a month with all the taxes and fees. I think it's about $154.00 without those fees. I don't intend on getting their phone service but right now their internet seems to be slow for me. Any large downloads are throttled at under 100 kb/s.

Re: [TWC] How Much Do You Pay For Your Services?

Add another $6.95 to my $191.37, plus $40.95 for the next 4 months. I called up last week to get NHL Center and had the Spanish Tier to my account. I was getting bored with the channels I was getting, and even though I don't understand Spanish besides Si and No, it;s not bad to watch. Plus I don't mind the music, and two Spanish music video channels are included. and unline the English music viceo channels, they actually play music videos.

Re: [TWC] How Much Do You Pay For Your Services?

I used to hear it was easy to swindle the Time Warner peeps when order new service, something I'm good at, but I had a difficult time. And I called six times before just giving up and dealing with thie higher fees.

I pay $100 for Cable + Variety Tier + Sports + Internet w/ turbo. I got my boxes leased for free for a year and a couple small things taken off. Think I'm saving about $30 in the end.

In comparison, when I was up in SF (I had DirecTV for eyars but had to get Comcast for a year in one apartemnt I lived in) I was able to swindle Comcast to give me cable + a similar tier to variety + hd + fastest internet...fooooooooooorrrr, $41/month total. I also helped a few people at work get a similar deal. Saved me about $70/month.

I actually started at a higher price, but then after someone at work told me how easy it was to get the price lowered, I called and basically said so-and-so (like DirecTV...even though I was facing the wrong direction) is offering me this or that and say it'd be easier for me to stay with Comcast, but that deal is hard to pass up...and was wondering if they'd be willing to offer some similar. They'd give me the channels I want for the price of some $21.99 plan or something and then I got their fastest internet for $19.99/mo for a year.

I only needed it for a year before moving and was able to at least get Dish Network after that, but peeps from my old work who called them and got similar deals just called them after every year was up and made a similar threat and pretty mich got the deals over again, maybe with a little increase in pay by like $5/mo. Know they were doing it for the last 2-3 years I was up in SF.
