I am getting .22down/.12up could the modem be the problem?

I found a firmware update for it should I try that? I have the b90-210015-04 rev.c

Is my modem to old?

My speed 3 or 4 months ago was not noticeable slow now I craws around the web

I have posted on Verizon forum as well but I feel I might get better results here.

It is more likely to be a line problem. If your modem provides line statistics, check whether they give any hints as to the problem.

It is unlikely the new firmware would help.

Possibly, but I'm not sure. Newer chip sets are better at handling marginal lines.

It doesn't it is a simple bridge modem for Verizon.

Then you might want to contact verizon. They can look at line stats from their equipment, and see if there is evidence of a line problem.
