...the high monthly rate comes out to about 35 dollars after taxes and fees.

Because call quality to The Philippines is sometimes choppy, faint, or full of noise with drop outs. Call quality in US seems fine though.

Don't really want to leave because:

1 no charge for ATA unless you break your contract and then they charge you for it.

2 The ATA they give you is quite slick, I love the LCD that lets me know the date, time, calls mist and messages left, that the status of the uplink for internet and the one single router port and 2 phone lines.

3 Support staff are very congenial, and are both based in The Philippines (where my family is) and US based. I also like that they have a company forum and that it appears that people can discuss the QoS and even mention the competition.

Now:

An advantage with Future Nine is not only its leader frequently helping people here, but they are consistent and very communicative.

And I live on such a tight budget that even five dollars lost is a major drag. With pay as I go, I can avoid NSFs.
