I rely on closed captioning since I have severe hearing problems. When watching shows I've recorded in HD, or live, on FX channel 941 there are no closed captions, and yes I have captions turned on in the DVR. If I watch the same show on channel 28 through my Tivo, the captions are there. This seems to be a problem only on FX HD (although the captions on CW channel 914 are pretty butchered up.

Any ideas on why this happens? I haven't bothered with customer service as I'm sure I wouldn't get an answer out of them anyway.

I'm willing to bet it's an issue with FX and not with Insight. You might try contacting FX or even communicating with some non-Insight customers to see if they've had similar issues...
