Bandwidth meter too low?
Last month, I got a notice from Cogeco saying I was at 85% of the max. allowed. (I am on the Standard package) Fortunately, it was only two days before the end of the month, so I did not go over, but I installed a bandwidth counter (ShaPlus Bandwith Meter 1.3) and have been comparing to what Cogeco says I use. Every day, Cogeco's count has been significantly lower. Right now, ShaPlus says I have used twice as much as Cogeco shows. I'm not complaining but I'm wondering which one is right.

Re: Bandwidth meter too low?
Your software bandwidth counter is most likely counting your internal network traffic as well as internet traffic

I don't have a router, what is internal network traffic?

Re: Bandwidth meter too low?
Is your Cogeco modem connected directly to your PC or do you have a router, with other PC's connected?

Re: Bandwidth meter too low?
No router, just one computer directly connected to the modem. I now know that my bandwidth program is off, as when I downloaded email today, I downloaded 180MB but the meter said almost 450MB and I had not done anything else today.
Anyone have a recommendation for a good, accurate bandwith metering program?
