Re: can anyone tell me if this is a ATT circuit ID?

It is possibly an AT&T circuit, but I don't think that 69/HCFS would be the full circuit ID. Here are a few sample AT&T SE (BellSouth) T-1 circuit IDs (these are actually slightly changed from the "real" circuit IDs):

T4/HCGS/831899/SC
T4/HCGS/727111/SC
T4/HCGS/822539/SC

As marked on the NIU or dmarc, the "/" symbols may or may not be present. I don't have the official documentation handy at present, but I think that the service classifications HCGS and HCFS both indicate a T-1 circuit. The portion of the circuit ID preceding the service classification (in your case "69", and in my samples "T4") is generally a location code. T4 indicates the LATA for my area. I don't know what/where "69" designates.

EDIT:
The full documentation is too long to post, I still can't locate my copy, and it is proprietary, but here is a quick cheat sheet with the basics:

Circuit ID Codes

XX/YYYY/000000/111/CC/SEG

Pre-fix/service code-service code modifier/serial #/suffix/company identifier/segment name

The service code tells you what kind of circuit you have. Here's a list of the most common you'll see:

HC= 1.544 Mbs (T1)
HX= Fractional T1. (Here's where a service code modifier is really used for the Frac. T1 rate.)
IA= ISDN BRI access line
IB= ISDN BRI non-access
XH= 56 Kb DS0
XD= 64Kd DS0
FX= foreign exchange (Telephone numbered format.)
TK= Two way trunk
PD= Private Line Data
PL= Private Line Voice
LX= CLEC POTS
LY= CLEC POTS (improved line conditioning)

I cannot comment on the first number however the four letter code after it is a Telcordia Common Language Connections Information code, the first letter defining the circuit as a highcap, and the remaining letters defining the type of highcap circuit it is.

If you dig around the Telcordia site you might be able to find a cheat sheet explaining the rest of the letters. ;-)

The first part could be letters or number's.They identify the state of the circuit is in.Example 50 = KY,69 i don't know.

Yes but even if you get the service from another company it will still be an AT&T circuit!

I work for Cavalier Telephone as a Remote Repair Technician, and yes it is an AT&T highcap circuit.. I'm not sure who your service is through, but with that circuit design, AT&T is definitely the facilities company in that area.

Re: can anyone tell me if this is a ATT circuit ID?

you may already have your answer but.. you can NOT tell if that is an at&t id. the 1st 2 numbers "69" indicate it is in utah; the next 2 letters "HC" indicates it is of T1 speed; the next 2 letters indicate if it is government or not and what type of equipment it is to be eng with. you are in fact missing the 6 digit identifer that would go after that. so i can tell you... it is an intra lata T1 circuit in Utah that is owned by the encumbant LEC (or whoever ownes the cables in the area). so if you are in a Qwest territory it would belong to Qwest.
