Vonage number can receive text messages

I didn't know Vonage numbers had the ability to received text messages. The phone rang and a voice indicated I just received a text message from, spoke the name, and then proceeded to recite the text message.

If Hamilton gets a NHL team then Toronto is going to want one too...

Check with who sent you the message - a lot of wireless carries have 'txt to voice' services for an extra fee - maybe that's what they used...

Just tried it with mine and it was a no go. Cool idea though. Google Voice has it (hint, hint Vonage).
