[IL] Getting Disconected from online games
I live in Moline, Illinois. For that last 3 or 4 months I've been getting disconnected from my online games 3 or 4 times a night. I've had the problem with World of Warcraft, Age of Conan, Aion, and most recently Eve.
Everybody in the house playing gets disconnected simultaneously.
When this happens, it seems like I drop 1 ping to the internet.
I've replaced my cable mode, my router and had a tech over to look at the cables. I have no idea what to do next.
Anybody have any recommendations for me? Anybody having the same problems? My speed is just fine, I get 25m/s all the time, but I can't stay connected to an online game.

What type of modem do you have?
Whats the brand of the router you use?
When you get disconnected from the internet is everyone playing the same game or different games?
Have you tried just having your one computer connected up the the router and see if the connection still drops ?

RCA DCM425

Current is Belkin, previous was netgear

We commonly play the same game and will all get disconnected all at once. But anytime anyone in the household plays an online game we'll get disconnected a few times a night.

No, I haven't tried this, but both computers are running security essentials and neither have viruses. It's very difficult to do a test like this because in 7 or 8 hours of play we'll only get disconnected once or twice. It's hard to know if something has improved or not.
