Anyone else not able to get the Charter Security Suite working with Windows 7 64bit?

The current version of Charter Security Suite is not compatible with Windows 7. The new Version 9, which is compatible, is scheduled for release on 12/1/09.

I use Avast, the Charter SS is to much of a memory hog.

I've used Avast for several years too, with a Sygate firewall. Unfortunately, Sygate no longer has a free version. :(

Sygate was purchased by Symancrap years ago, with that said another poster hit the nail on the head. F-Secure is anything but what it's name implies.

AV - Avira
Spy/Mal - Spybot and Malwarebytes

That's the reason I didn't mention "why" it was no longer free to home users... didn't want to give them any referral. ;)

My old SPF version still works fine without any updates from them though.

Your Sygate firewall has some pretty glaring security holes. It is fortunate that you reside behind a router or you would undoubtedly be having issues.
