Dual Wan?

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker here with a question. I have a WRT310N with DD-WRT Standard firmware installed.
I also have two internet connections at home (1 for business, 1 for personal). Both modems are 2wires.
Is there any way for me to use this router as a dual WAN by flashing the firmware (like here for example? »www.roadrunnerguide.com/dualwan.html) or does Bell prevent me from making this possible?

Re: Dual Wan?

It can certainly be done, but you'll need a router with dual WAN inputs.

reboot, reset, reconfigure, then recycle.

I have never tried it (lacking a second connection) however it is true your router can be reconfigured to have a second WAN.

Both of your DSL modems will have to be configured to do the PPPoE login. I assume you want to increase your bandwidth by utilizing both connections at the same time which means you should try the “round robin” scripts.

Before attempting it I would read up on the recovery techniques for your router lest you mangle the script code and brick the router. No idea if it would work however.
