Just a FYI, some people here who "couldn't get" 5Mbps after signing up with TSI switched to Sympatico, got hooked to a remote with 6Mbps sync, switched back to TSI and then petitioned Bell/TSI until they got their 5-6Mbps sync off the remote back, citing their Sympatico sync speeds as proof.
That sounds like a huge hassle. I'd do it I knew there was a remote nearby. The fact that she told me this was possible whereas the website's "availability checker" told me the contrary is not encouraging. Is there any way to find out if there's a remote nearby without switching first?
You can call and ask where the closest CO is.
