[DVR] Pace TDC787X question

Pace TDC787X

Just traded my older Moto HD-DVR in for this one.

What external ports can I use for adding an extra hard drive?

There are 3 types of ports

eSATA - 1
USB - 2
Firewire - 1

Also what size of hard drive is usually installed in these?

Re: [DVR] Pace TDC787X question

Only the eSata port.

Max size supported depends on FW on the PACE. Older FW 700GB and the latest supports over 1TB.

Here are the drives that PACE has tested and approved to work for that DVR:

Western Digital MyDVR Expander (WDG1S5000)
Seagate DVR Expander (ST30500SCA109-RK)
iOmega DVR (34172)

Combo USB/eStata HDD will typically give you a lot of problems due to bugs in their internal chipsets that cause high numbers of read errors.
