[FL] Speed upgrade in Pensacola

We got the speed upgrade last month, however, our upspeed hasn't been raised prob due to the fact AT&T hasn't launched UVERSE in pensacola (were centrury crap)

I'm guessing we won't be seeing any more upgrades till we get D3

So now it's 25/2 (not to shabby but kinda pricey) I'm going to sign an agreement and going to ask for maybe $20 dollars less off from my current package.. GOOD LUCK TO ME!!

If these surveys mean anything.. BRING ON THE 3D BROADBAND, COX!

Re: [FL] Speed upgrade in Pensacola

Rob,

Fort Walton/Mary Esther is served by Centurytel/Embarq, as well as Foley, AL and a few other places in Baldwin County. However, Pensacola is, and always has been served by AT&T. U-Verse is available in most of Pensacola now. It's not on my street yet as I live outside town, but I have an uncle that lives near downtown and has been able to get U-Verse for several months now.

I've been told (as well as seen in newspapers and news) that U-Verse should be on my side of town in the next few weeks. I've been seeing a lot of U-Verse trucks digging up fiber and whatnot so it shouldn't be much longer. As it stands right now, I will be leaving Cox and switching to U-Verse as I am unable to get an issue resolved, even with all the Cox Tech's on this site :(

Tell me about your UVerse experience. I'm not dropping cox except their phone service is very expensive. If they offer more then 1 meg up, would be awesome. I don't know what the future holds for me but hopefully will be in a paranormal group and want to share our videos online. 2.3 megs is fast but not when your loading up ad huge .avi file.
