Outages in Boca Raton Florida?

Anyone know of outages in Boca Raton? I see a couple slow speed posts only. My mom isn't able to sync at all since 1am Sunday morning which means her comcast phone is also out. When she tries to call comcast from neighbor or cell comcast will say call back later and hang up or it says its transferring to a rep and then fails and hangs up.

If it was a widespread outage since Sunday at 1am I think we would have seen quite a few more posts about it. If you are not at the location, you can call Comcast directly from your phone or you could post in the direct forum here. I would specifically mention that the CDV is out and provide an alternate contact method. You will also need the service address and the telephone number registered on the account.

Yes, I'm in Boca and I've been having outages since last Wed 10/28. Happens every night like clockwork at 11 pm. Service returns around 9 am next morning. Sunday night I lost all connectivity at 6 pm until 9 this morning. Service guy is coming tomorrow to check it out but it's a system problem, my neighbor has it too.

No problems with my connection other then the heat killing the downstream signal during the day.

You could do some basic troubleshooting like asking a neighbor or making sure the cable wasn't cut by the lawn man. It has happened to me before. :)

Other then thatm, it's best to have a tech come look at it.

live in Boca, and haven't had Internet since Saturday afternoon. Hate comcast, nothing but trouble through the years we've had them.

I was getting 12-16mb/s down and got a call from comcast saying that they needed to switch out some splitters in my house and add a booster.. I just did speed test again and this was the result: 32.90mb/s down & 2.00mb/s up.. really blew my mind.. I have never seen it this fast before on my PC. Try Boston, MA server for tests.. they have the best hosted servers!

What do you mean "add a booster"? An amplifier? I tried connecting straight to the wall a few weeks ago, bypassing the splitters but didn't notice any difference in speeds. Always use the port on the splitter with the lower dB for the modem, -3.5 dB port usually. Part of that 32.90 mb/s is the powerboost, speedtest.net runs a very short DL test so they might be picking up the powerboost spurt, which begins to fade.
