[iO] HDMI & Digital Audio Output on SA STB
I recently purchased a new TV and this is how I want it setup:
1. STB connected to TV via HDMI
2. STB connected to Receiver via Digital Coax Cable
However, It seems like you can't simultaneously use HDMI and the DD output through coax. Does anyone know if this is truly a limitation or is it possible that I am doing something wrong?

Yes it can, but that means that I have to buy a longer optical cable since thatch its only digital output. I was planning on doing that anyways, but I thought there would be a better way but if its the limitations of the box, I pretty much have no choice.

No i mean you can connect both but if you select dolby digital out , then unless your tv can decode dolby digital through hdmi the sound will only come out via optical.
But if its set to pcm then it will come out both at the same time.

You can use red & white RCA cables to get stereo sound to the TV while using Digital Coax to a receiver and having it set on DD.

The TV can decode DD, but it looks like if you set the box to "HDMI" it passes the audio through the HDMI cable and Digital Out as Stereo, but if you set it to "Dolby Digital" you get no sound through the HDMI cable at all, just the Digital Out.
