Pricing
My promotional package of $114 for phone/internet/cable is about to expire. Does Comcast negotiate pricing or do I have to take what is offered.
When I first moved here Comcast was the only option but now I have several to choose from. Could this give me leverage?
Thanks.

Re: Pricing
You can probably get the same package, but the price of your emta has increased to $5. Where I'm at the $114.99 is the standard Triple Play Starter Package. Now there is also a $99 package that's the exact same but only offered via retention.
Remember it's different per every area so what is available where I'm at may not be where your at.

Re: Pricing
Does Comcast still require its Digital Voice customers to rent the eMTA (modem for both CDV and HSI) from Comcast, and they've now raised that monthly fee to $5? Or can you own-your-own eMTA now?
That monthly fee for the modem, plus the $5(?) monthly that Comcast charges for an unlisted phone number is what's kept me from switching to CDV. Those two fees would eat up most of the savings of switching phone service.

Re: Pricing
Yep - you are still required to rent the eMTA.
The unlisted phone number fee is still there - $14 initially and then something like $4/mo. thereafter.
