[Connectivity] trouble in cool springs tn area?

anyone else's cable modem rebooting like mad today?

i'm in the Brentwood/Franklin TN area (Cool Springs - zip code 37027)

my connectivity has gone to ^#%$#. the network health page on my comcast.com account says "No known issues." :/

i have a chinese made RCA modem, model DCM425, connected via ethernet 100 BaseT to a Linksys WRT54G ver. 2 router (not the problem), also connected via ethernet 100 BaseT to a 2006 iMac Core Duo running Mac OS X 10.5.8 (also not the problem)

i'm on Comcast's "Performance" tier, (i think 6/1 Mbps) but i get a lot faster speeds than that (not consistently, but Comcast has been advertising here that they have doubled everyone's speed for free, irregardless of the powerboost gimmick. if only i could stay connected for more than 10 minutes!)

There was a major Middle TN outage today - didn't last long, but fubar-ed a file backup I was doing and left me with no Vonage until I rebooted the phone adaptor. As I was out of the house I'm not sure how long it lasted, I'm going on info from the wifey, but I've found that Comcast almost never has outage info available here - at least not until it's fixed - lol. Talked with several friends in Nashville and the Mt. Juliet (neighboring county) area and all were without Comcast HSI, both Biz class and Residential.
