[General] 1 Hour Free International Calling Every Month
Phone Power is now offering 60 minutes of free international calling to 88 countries EVERY MONTH to all of our Freedom (including pre-paid accounts), Business and Hosted PBX account holders.
Existing account holders do not need to do anything to activate this feature.
The rate lookup table on our international page will tell you if the particular number you are calling qualifies. »www.phonepower.com/services/voip···nal.aspx
Here is the text from our Terms:
5.7 Free International Calling. All Phone Power Freedom, Business, and Hosted PBX plans that include more than 500 minutes receive 60 minutes of free international calling to qualifying destinations every monthly bill cycle. 500 and Metered Rate plans do not receive any Free International Minutes. Details of qualifying destinations can be found using the International Phone Number and Rate Lookup tool, located on Phone Power's International Page. These rates and qualifying destinations are subject to change on the 1st business day of every month. This tool is the final arbiter of which phone numbers qualify for Free International Minutes. After 60 minutes of qualifying calls have been made each month, standard billing will commence using the listed rates for each destination.

Always interesting when an anonymous poster shows up to pitch a competitor's offerings.
We include 28 more countries and calling to many Cell Phone destinations as well. Voipo does not include any calling to cell phones.

Even if that were true, so what?
That's one aspect of what competition is about.
They are a phone company. They can't help you lose weight, or write a will, or fit you with contact lenses.
They are in the phone business.
And if a competitor is offering something, phone companies may well choose to match (or exceed) the promotion.

I am sure Voipo offerings had something to do with this. Along with Vonage and Viatalk World plans. They have to stay competitive.
Even Teleblend has a $99 yearly plan now. But that's another story.
Competition is a good thing.

I heard good things about PP but have a question.
When are you guys (PhonePower) planning to come up with Unlimited International Calling Plan?
Or making some International calling plans like 1K, 2K, 3K minutes limit calling plan and then charge per minute over the limit calling plan.
Mostly, we call Bangladesh and currently we have Vonage but thinking of moving to Lingo because they have Bangladesh in their World Max Plan. Some of my friends already moved from Vonage to Lingo and some others are waiting to find good VoIP provider for permanent move.

Mohona, we do not have plans to offer larger international bundles at this time. The difference between our lowest cost plan and Lingo would allow you to pay for over 800 minutes a month to lots of India with your savings.

Re: [General] 1 Hour Free International Calling Every Month
Can you guys at Phone Power knock some sense into your bosses.
Why havent you come out with an unlimited international calling such as india etc...
Both Vonage and Lingo are offering it and are getting a lot of business from many customers now. Many people are transfering from other companies to them....in fact I am also thinking to switch from phone power to Lingo or Vonage because of this...
Someone has to knock some sense into Phone Powers corporate to get the unlimited international calling

Did you bother to read the post just above yours? PhonePower explains their position.
And "unlimited" international plans in general are often not economical for the consumer.

My friend, you say you want to go to Lingo, one of the worst rated services around, well, enjoy! Good luck to you.

Vonage may offer unlimited calling, but read the fine print - "**All calls to landline phones included. Calls to cell phones may be included depending on destination. Subject to change. Excludes certain call types such as calls to non-geographic and premium numbers."
If you look at their charge list, they charge about 3x more then PP does, I think I will stay with my $14 a month plan with PP and pay cheaper international rates.

It really has nothing to do with the fact you came from Broadvox, it's all about your service level. You're likely paying next to nothing for your service but you want 60 mins/month free international calling? Really?

Re: [General] 1 Hour Free International Calling Every Month
Traditionally, this forum has permitted VoIP providers to make 'announcement' posts/threads.
They realize that this is a double-edged sword - there will be those interested and there will be those trashing it.
I will simply remind everyone and anyone that if you believe there's something wrong with a thread or post - to use the "HEY MODS" link to bring it to our attention. I will also suggest that using this feature on a post that's 10 days old is probably unnecessary.
The last bunch of these types of threads (no offense to the OP - not your fault) have frankly been more trouble than they're worth. If that continues we will have to revisit allowing these types of discussions.
