I use to have Qwest DSL, now I got mediacom internet. Can I use my 2wire 2701HG router/modem to the medicom modem?

If I can't what router do you suggest for wireless internet, I have PS3,XBOX 360, Wii, & laptop to hook-up.

If its like other 2wire routers I have seen you can't use it. There is no up link port on it so no way for it to do any routing. As for routers I would recommend »www.netgear.com/Products/Routers···500.aspx

you can't always trust Wikipedia however, I have heard of geeks.com it is legitimate

I would go with the NETGEAR because it has DoS protection that the other one does not have
as always, kindly correct me if I'm wrong

Denial of Service
Sending so many requests that the Web server crashes under the constant load.

i have purchased many items from geeks.com they are lagit and have great customer service. any thing ive orderd has been shipped with in a couple days (72 hours tops)

cant give any insight on the topic at hand tho, sorry.

Sure you can hook them all up. If you prefer to get the Dlink, that is fine too. You ask for a recommendation and I gave one, it doesn't have anything to do with it working better on a Mediacom system or anything like that. I am sure both will fill your needs .
