Downloading/Streaming stops

Hi, I recently switched from ATT DSL 6 to Uverse 18. The speed is great and consistent, I never lose connectivity, the VOIP for the home phone service seems to work flawlessly.
However, nearly every time I try to watch a streaming video of any significant length (> 5 mins) the video will stop loading and I have to reload the page and click on the spot it stopped at to continue watching. Also, if I download a file of any significant size it will stop downloading. I have had to switch to using a download manager that supports resume in order to download things reliably.
I called uverse support and they even got me to a Tier 2 person, but they were convinced that it is a problem with my computer. I, however, can guarantee you that it is not.
I have tried 4 different computers, desktops and laptops, with it being the only device connected to the RG's ethernet ports and running from both a windows XP live CD and a Linux ubuntu live CD. They still all have the same issue.
The interruptions seem to coincide with the appearance of several hundred corrected blocks as seen on the Broadband Link Statistics page.
ATT uverse support has refused to accept responsibility for this. What should I do?

Re: Downloading/Streaming stops

Hi, thanks to a thread on uverseusers forum and some email correspondence with uversecare I resolved my issue of downloads and streaming videos failing to complete after switching to uverse.

I was using a DD-WRT'd Buffalo WHR-G54S given the WAN IP via DMZplus in the RG. It seems that the problem occurs when the 10 minute DHCP lease expires and is renewed. I flashed Tomato 1.23 firmware to the Buffalo WHR-G54S and haven't had a problem since as it renews the lease at 5 minutes and doesn't miss a beat.
