call me crazy
but i feel like im getting ripped off by bell (not teksavvy) because these last few weeks i've noticed a slowdown on everyday browsing. Not even a download going and latency is beautiful 41ms but browsing any number of sites is snail speed.
Goto speedtest.net and boom i get full stats 5.2down 600 up.
It's not a computer issue as this has been tested on 3 desktops 4 laptops for the sake of troubleshooting. It's not a network issue i know that 100%.
I seriously feel like i'm being throttled these last few weeks just for using the internet after about 8pm all the way until 5am and net runs just fine rest of the day..
I post here not direct because i'm curious if other users have same issues.

Re: call me crazy
Not only teksavvy users even rogers users have been having issues go to the rogers forums and check for yourself.
I had a few issues but it was for only one day. I guess I was lucky.

Re: call me crazy
Very odd. It's been since the ruling by CRTC maybe around that time but i'd swear on my life something has changed. I was running smooth and now i feel like the net struggles but speedtest.net etc all smooth as ever as if they are purposely allowed without throttle.
I honestly feel like they are up to something and not a damn thing i can do but sit here and pay for a net as advertised and bell cannot even deliver to the people who rent their lines.
I've just about had it so something needs to give soon

I wonder if what you are experiencing is anything like what these guys are experiencing.
»Slow speed lately?
although they cant seem to get good speedtest results like you. (but they are in the GTA with terrible speed issues).
Its unclear if anything is being done for them or if its even related.

Re: call me crazy
After the last CRTC ruling I have been experiencing throttling issues during so called "peak hours" using the Per Vices method for utorrent downloads. Prior to that it has been working fine. I know it could be that I should switch ports but it is suspicious.

Re: call me crazy
This sounds like a DNS issue where it's not resolving the host quickly while browsing. Is it possible for you to do a traceroute to teksavvy.com?
I've been noticing similar problems in »DNS troubles?
