Will Comcast's Economy Internet Service work for VOIP?

Does anyone have Comcast's Economy Internet Service (download speeds to 1 meg, upload at 256k) and succesfully use it with VOIP service? Is it fast enough with a good enough quality of service? I want to use it with Ooma VOIP service.

I'm especially interested in hearing from those who use it with Ooma VOIP service and those who are in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, area who have used this service with VOIP. Thanks for your feedback!

From a bandwidth viewpoint, you'll have no problem. VoIP only takes about 80 kbit/s per call upstream and downstream, so Ooma will work just fine.

I concur. Unless you are also doing some heavy P2P or other file transfers.

Also know there is lots of VoIP talk here.

I have Comcast basic 6meg service and I use tmobile voip and it has worked fine I have had it for a year and not one problem. When I run a voip test on comcast is says the quality of service is so bad that you would think you should have a problem but not a thing. Works great.
