[LA] Will we have the highest HSI bill?
Looks like Cox is raising all of their prices next month by a few bucks on video and HSI. So instead of $43.99 it looks like we will be paying $45.99 - $46.99 a month for Preferred. Which has a wonderful speed of around 1-2 megabits when you try to the use the net at night. Funny how the quote below says our speeds will increase by 20 percent. HOW!?!?! We can't even get our full speed now!
I'll be cranking the bill down once it goes up to cover the costs...I don't see the point of having preferred anyways.
The pay more for less thread now ;)

Customers in Baton Rouge and Lafayette who subscribe to basic cable only will see prices rise by $2.58 per month and those who subscribe to expanded basic will pay another $3 per month.
Certain premium channels, such as HBO, Showtime, Stars and Cinemax, will increase $1 per service, Cox said.
Residential Internet customers subscribing to starter, value, preferred or premier service can expect a price increase between $2 and $3, depending on the level of service subscribed to.
Internet speeds on those tiers will increase. Ruble said the biggest gains will be in the two most-popular packages. The speed of the essential package would double and the preferred package will increase by about 20 percent.

Well i would seriously think about calling someone over this matter. Im pretty sure something can be done about how shitty of speeds all of you are getting there and for the price your paying.

Im guessing all these price increases has something to do with them doing all these 1ghz/D3 upgrades. they have to make there money back somehow. But you guys in LA should be last to see the price increase until they fix all them congested node problems.

It hasn't helped... this has been going on for a year now.
I can care less about D3, it would nice to just 5 or 6 megabits in the evening so you can actually use Netflix and Youtube. For now, if you want to use the speeds you are given you have to stay up until 3 am or 4am.

Here in NO too...gotta stay up until around 1am to get the speeds you pay for. I didn't read anything about NO prices going up...hopefully they don't. I think it's bad enough that you guys have to fork up more for such horrible service.

I knew Cox Communications would go up in Price after adding espn360.com "FREE" for their Customers which is BS.
Do i have higher Speeds no and if they would Add that Cox would go up in Price so no Thanks, leave things as is if the only thing you will do is go up in Price.
We're in hard times and Company's are just Screwing us left and right!!!

espn anything is crap!
imagine how low bills would be if espn was in the sports tier.
let those people that like sports pay for it, not make everyone subsidize the people that like sports!

Bullshit!
tell that to people not getting what they pay for now!
Ahhhhh the beauty of "best effort" and judging from some of the posts i see in this forum that is closer to no effort[you get what you get]

what i'd like to see:
1) "consistantly get 54% of rated speed all month, pay 54% of the bill"
2) "up to xx mbps but at least xx mbps" and the percentage you're under the at least level shows up as a credit on the bill.
