Re: Linux iso download appreciation day
My last months usage was only 20GB according to tomato, scary I know I only used 20GB.
I haven't even done so much as downloaded a windows update at home. Just the occasional youtube, streaming radio and my dad + sisters usage.
Recently its just been work + visiting the girlfriend, Shes on a grandfathered unlimited from bell and has higher scores then I could ever manage to get even with my 2 lines in ml-ppp. (she does 300-600GB a month).
she seems to download the same um.. "linux iso series" as I do so I just copy them to my notebook when im over.

Re: Linux iso download appreciation day
I would but the misses got me cogeco until my DSL gets hooked up, [sarcasm] Not bad for a 14 Mbps connection eh? [/sarcasm] Cable TV and internet is being canceled as soon as I get my Teksavvy landline and DSL. (they claim they don't throttle, I've only been connected 5 days so far and haven't used even 6 Gb of the 60 yet)

I've already performed three Ubuntu distro upgrades last week. Does that count? :)

Re: Linux iso download appreciation day
I haven't downloaded one since the 2nd November and that was all of 9MB, a Debian Netboot mini.iso.
I had grabbed Fedora, OpenSuse and Ubuntu recently just to check out none of those three were keepers.

Re: Linux iso download appreciation day
I work from home via the Internet and I consume about 6GB per day. Play time adds a bit more to that, so 180-200GB a month on average.
I've downloaded a couple of Linux distros and Windows 7 isos (legit copies, as I subscribe to MSDN) over the last week or so.

I don't think you understand what "Linux ISOs" means in this forum. Here's a hint: it has nothing to do with operating systems...

I wonder how many I could cram into that usage lol.
It sucks too because I should have much higher on the October one, but it looks like the meter borked. Damn.
 Damn broken meter! |
 That's a little better |

I try'ed few linux's over the years. But I tend to favor windows more. Since the games I play don't run on linux.

About a year ago Angelo posted a screenshot to the forum of a file he was downloading to demonstrate some issue. The filename was pretty vague so he didn't blur the name. I googled that filename and posted the findings (it was a porno involving well endowed women). He censored the image and changed the text to look like it was a Linux distro ISO (but made it obvious that he changed it).
It was rather amusing at the time.
