Mediacom Q3 conference call notes

Mediacom announced that starting later this month they will field test a multi-room DVR and potentially roll it out sometime in the first quarter of next year.
also, There will be around 50 HD channels at the end of this year

Docsis 3.0 December launch
11 Markets to get it
9 markets to have 50 meg
2 markets to get 100 meg
25% of footprint by year end
25% by next year in early 2010

I seriously doubt we'll see 50 HD channels by the middle of next year. There are 35 total right now in the quad-cities and I'd be willing to bet big that we don't have 40 by year end. Just my guess :p

I heard Iowa is the biggest market for mediacom.... i wonder if were getting 100Mbit since they have been testing it here...

50 hd channels? Heck, i would be happy with 35! The hd lineup where i go sucks!

They have 39 total listed on the mailer they sent out the 2nd week of October in my area. Changes were to happen Oct 24-27th. I did get Cartoon Network HD but still waiting for AMC HD and Travel HD. AMC HD will be a definite plus for me.

I would say DSM gets the 100 Mb however i'm not sure which other market it would be CR maybe since they have ImOn communications?

Yes, Des Moines is Mediacom's biggest market. Why would anyone need 100 down?

Yes, Des Moines is Mediacom's biggest market. Why would anyone need 100 down?
