My sister has AT&T DSL is South Florida, on Wed she lost her internet connection and after an hour on the phone with AT&T doing all sorts of tests they determined the modem (Motorola 2210, the little silver one) was defective and overnighted her a new one.

My question is, since she already has established service can she just plug the new modem in and be good to go, or does it need some kind of setup? What exactly will she have to do to configure the new modem if that's what is needed?

she will need too set her login name and password and be good to go
