moof!

Finally, after a few years, I got the bracket necessary to hang the shade next to my table (and thus, completed the shades on the first floor!)

What's annoying is I can see wires! And I could use a couple more wire tires! That's annoying because I spent about 4 hours the other day tying things up (and hiding more things!) - then again, most of that was done along the side, not up front! Yar, whatever.

So there ya have it :)

Why has the G5 been replaced with a PC?

Re: moof!

Oh you're good!

The G5, QS G4 and my bro's iMac G4 were stolen in January, we came back from our Christmas trip and found our desks empty. Totally sucked, and to add insult to injury, our insurance agent pulled a fast one on us and when we got cheaper insurance, part of the deal was it didn't have personal property coverage. [Boring, annoying story].

So those machines are gone for good, along with the webserver stuff I was running as I had no sense in me to back that up to my laptops (why? I had 3 copies in the house and all 3 machines were taken! GUH!).

All of my new hardware happened to be funded by those "free computer" deals (if you saw the thread in ATM!) That includes my MDD, which I found on ebay and the cinema with it. Heheh, and the macbook laying on top of my PBG4 (both of which I had with me on vacation).

The PC was sitting around, it used to be a celery 900 - currently it has a 2.4ghz P4 in it that I ripped out of an old PC that was headed for the dump (I was hoping for a crap windows install, but the former owner didn't happen to know it also had a blown capacitor on the motherboard).

So yeah, that's not really getting much use.

Things are kinda tight right now, or I'd be replacing that G5 and my old G4 with a set of Mac Pros in a pinch! Heheh, you know how it is.
