Sorry. I'll work on getting a bigger plasma, repositioning my XBOX that's been there for 3 years so it doesn't get rrd, move my XBOX. Anything else? Glad it's fine for ya rofl.

It would take a pretty strong electromagnet to affect a hard drive.
There are actually two rather powerful magnets INSIDE the hard drive.

Upgrade the old school speakers and you'll be set.

Re: My Entertainment Center.
I have. The casing is original with Altec 6 tweeters and Elite Series Mids that I upgraded. Yamaha sub is in the corner behind the file cabinet. I like the old school look over the new modern speakers.

I did, after thinking of the post, move my speakers out another foot and moved the XBOX on a separate shelf away from the speakers.

The "RRoD" is the result of poor design, and newer models are much less susceptible to it. I highly doubt the orientation of non-defective Xbox's has any significant, measurable impact on its likelihood of hardware failure. Our Xbox has stood upright for years without a problem, while I have several friends who orient it horizontally and had to return it for repairs. Personally, I think there's no correlation.

True. If you look you can clearly see that this is a Halo Limited Edition XBOX so yes, it is a newer model. I have never had an issue it standing upright for 2 years now.

Nice set up. Only concern is keeping that Moxi tucked in that space like that. Those boxes run HOT!

Thank you. Had the same MOXI a year and a half and knock on wood, no issues. I do have a usb fan blowing to the rear of the vent though. :)

Re: My Entertainment Center.
That's probably helping it. When I had my unit, it was in a space about that same size, though my shelf was closed on the back. I'm sure that had a lot to do with the high heat I experienced.

If you look on the back or at least on mine, there are 2 usb slots so you could even run 2 fans if you wanted to. They are very inexpensive and if you get one like mine, you'll get a cool blue glow from behind the unit.

Poor mans way, umm? So a $5 USB fan plugged into a, USB slot isn't cheaper and, TADA, easier? :uhh:
