[Services] Inbound email Bouncing, or vanishing
Has anyone else noticed that as of about 4PM EDST on 6/18 that you are now not getting much email? It was around that time that I lost about 70% of my good email coming in. Those trying to send are receiving bounces, or nothing. I know ATT tries to filter out some bad stuff but right now it seems they have about 60% of all domestic traffic filtered.
I sent a note to the postmaster as well but don't expect much from that. All I've ever received back from the postmaster previously were nasty grams if anything, after I sent a polite, well explained message to them.

Do you receive your email through mail.bellsouth.net, fpostoffice.isp.att.net, or pop.att.yahoo.com?
If you use fpostoffice.isp.att.net or mail.bellsouth.net perhaps this is just another not so gentle hint from AT&T to migrate your email to the Yahoo platform. I have not noticed any problems with the pop.att.yahoo.com servers.
Have you logged into the appropriate webmail page for the email service you use to check the spam folder? One thing I have noticed since migrating to the Yahoo email platform is that Yahoo does not have a whitelist for incoming email, and I need to check the spam folder more frequently than I did with the legacy bellsouth.net server.

I'm using mail.bellsouth.net. Unless I read incorrectly all the email I've received about changes has said I don't need to make any changes to my email.

If the email you received is the same email referred to in this thread: »[Services] FYI: BELLSOUTH AND ATT DOMAIN USERS USING MAIL.BELLSO
you may want to reread the email, or you are likely to have even more missing email in the near future.

There is more email change information at that link than I posted, so I would advise you to visit the link and read it all to avoid a nasty surprise when the forced migration occurs.
EDIT:
I see that they have recently added the following statement to that page:
If your upgrade takes effect after June 30, 2009, and you use an @bellsouth.net email address, your current settings will continue to work and no updates will be required.
However, since the reason for the migration to Yahoo is to offload email from AT&T servers to Yahoo servers, I find that statement a bit hard to believe. Perhaps they are planning to use DNS redirection and/or proxy servers to redirect the email traffic to the Yahoo servers, but I can foresee that causing more problems than forcing customers to change their email server settings.
