| COGECO Cable: Best of Breed Placed my order on a Monday, with a committed install for that Friday. The technician was promptly at my door at 9:00am, and I was surfing by 10:30am. At first I was not completely blown away with the speed, but it was a significant improvement over dial-up. I then began speaking with friends that had COGECO cable, and it seemed that my connection was not performing as well as theirs, and I was not getting the full experience. That is when I was introduced to DSL Reports. I decided to follow some of the recommendations and identified a signal loss with my modem. I immediately contacted COGECO and had them verify my problem. Once confirmed, COGECO suggested I do a modem swap. I took their advice, and once swapped, my speed increased dramatically. I was now consistently getting 2500 - 3500 down and 250 -350 up. I am impressed.
4 stars for "Value for Money". Reason: Unless it's free, price could always be improved.
4 stars for "Pre Sales information". Reason: Not much competition, so it wasn't a hard sell if they delivered on their promise. |
